Elke

Elke is an experienced Country and Western Artist

Up to the age of eighteen, Elke performed with various bands in the " Pop Music " field until 1979. That's when she was discovered by Wolfgang Mewes. Elke joined the group Arabesque, after six months with Arabesque, she came to realize that her heart belonged to Country Music.

Big International Trade Fairs and Receptions were the main scene. Being one of the first female country singers in Germany, Elke was invited to perform at the Country Festival in Frankfurt with such notable American Country Stars as Emmylou Harris, Bobby Bare, Jerry Lee Lewis, Waylon Jennings, The Bellamy Brothers, Dolly and Stella Parton, Rattlesnake Annie and many more.

In 1982 she created the band " Louisiana ". During 1986 she emigrated to England and in 1991 she returned to Germany and started performing for American Armed Services.

Louisiana is still around, but bigger and better with new talent and a new goal to play the best Country and Western music in town.

Kai

Dirk

At the age of seventeen he joined his first band. Unfortunately they only played country. But that shouldn’t be a problem. The most important thing was, having fun playing guitar.

But who would have thought again? After some time Dirk found out that playing country was a lot more fun, as he first thought.

This is how he found his love to country music.

Music was now quite a big part of his live, so he decided to do more. He began to study soundtechnics. Now he has got his own recording studio and gives guitarlessons.

1997 he split up with his old band, to create his own band.

1999 After two years of trying out different kind of musicians, and getting married to           his wife Elke ( which he wasn’t quite sure about, and who would have thought ) he has finally found the right people to form a new Band.

Casey

Casey, the Molsch (as insiders would call him) is the most experienced Member of Band. His instument is the pedal steel guitar, it is just as unique as he is himself.

He gained his experience in various bands and met musicians from all over the world.

He has joined Louisiana in 2010 and gives this special touch to Country Music.

Evel

Evel, alias Volker Benz, discoverd his love for Country Music rather late.

At the tender age of 14 he was given an acoustic guitar. So him and his sister tried to play it, with the few chords they had learned. At the age of 16 he had saved up enough money, to buy himself his first E-Guitar.

In 1981 him and Mike Sanftenberg formed the, " Mike Sanftenberg Group ". They wrote their own Rock – Jazz - Fashion - Music, in the style of " Larry Carlton " and " Koinonia ".

Late summer of 1984: This was when Evel began his Country Career. He joint " Jimmy Carter and The Dallas County Green ".With this Band he played all over the southern and middle part of Germany, Swizerland and France. This Band left him with a big musical impression, he never forgot.

In May 2003 he joint " Louisiana - on tour " and is now back, to play Country Music.

Hardo

Hardo lives for his music.

He studied bass guitar in Heidelberg and then moved on to his favorite intrument “THE DRUMS”. Rhythem is his life. He gathered his experience by playing in various Bands. His Motto is “as long as I can beat it, I’ll play it”.

Since 2001 he teaches drums on privat and public schools in Heidelberg.
He has now joint LOUISIANA and is looking forward to play some good country music.
